Half Time Minister needed
The Stephentown Federated Church in Stephentown New York is made up of the Stephentown Presbyterian and Methodist congregations which merged in 1948.we share all resources including clergy, worship services and facilities. The two denominations maintain their separate identities and membership lists. They meet yearly to elect representatives to the General Committee and governing committees.
Our church activities are overseen by the General Committee, made up of representatives of both denominations and of our church committees and social groups such as Worship Committee which aids in the planning of both weekly and special seasonal services and arranges for guest ministers as needed, PPR, Nominating Committee, Sonshiners and Community Breakfast group.
We are an active church, participating in church based, community, and local ecumenical activities as well as local and world wide mission.
We are searching for a pastor who will work with our leadership to serve the spiritual and emotional needs of our church family by:
- Providing meaningful worship celebrations for all as well as educational opportunities for all ages
- Participating in community and ecumenical outreach
- Providing visitation and counselling as needed
- Working with leadership to achieve our goals
