Food Pantry

The Stephentown Federated Church hosts the Stephentown Food Pantry which serves the residents of Stephentown and Hancock each Saturday morning from 9 AM to 11 AM.

The mission of the Stephentown Food Pantry is to ease the hunger, hardship, and stresses of food insecurity by providing an accessible and dependable source of healthy food choices and basic personal care essentials.

Their services are confidential and they serve all without discrimination (regardless of age, sex, race, creed, color, national origin, political or cultural affiliation, religious beliefs, sexual preference, or gender identity) in an understanding manner, recognizing each person’s dignity and equality.

The Stephentown Food Pantry has been helping residents of Stephentown and Hancock since 1983.

In 2021, we served 50 families, and served 8424 meals. We also distributed over 75 Holiday baskets.

The Pantry is staffed by volunteers from the community and supported by donations from individuals, organizations and businesses.

If you wish to contribute food or money call 518-487-8606, or send checks to Stephentown Emergency Food Pantry, P.O. Box 314, Stephentown, NY 12168.

To donate non-perishable food or hygiene items, please leave them in the collection basket at the Stephentown Memorial Library or in the foyer of Pierce Hall which is on the west side of the church in the back, at the rear of the church.

The Pantry is a member of the Regional Food Bank of Northeast New York and donations to them can be ear-marked for use by the Stephentown Food Pantry through their Adopt-a-Pantry program
